so apparently we don't have a hot route receiver when they blitz 10

I have noticed time and time again that when there is an apparent blitz, our receivers never break their route. In the OU game , I watched Lenz and AA both point to the guy covering Lenz as the blitzer. The guy blitzed and Lenz and Frnaklin(on the blitz side) just ran down field. Very frustrating

we just used a screen pass for the 2nd time i saw, both times on 3rd down..............

you use it on 2nd, that's how you beat the blitz

Funny, we've tried to set it up twice with ARob before, and ARob couldn't even catch the ball because he was covered up. You can't beat the blitz period when guys have a free run at the QB. You need luck, and Iowa State doesn't have the playmakers on the outside to make that happen because they get thrown off by bump coverage.
