This will be considered another one-score loss, but it shouldn't count as a one-score loss. (Not the first example of that in the past few seasons).
He’s definitely not creative enough to be an OC.
I think the history of Kurt is we started calling him that when he got killed by ISU in early years and just kept calling him that as his boring brand of football pounded us into oblivion.

It'll be 2-3 more years, probably 3, but it might be a total of 10-12 wins over those years.
Well, we can hang our hat on "only losing by 1 score or less" again. A loss is a loss is a loss.
Standard coach speak when he says all of that. Which coach don’t demand that stuff. They all do.
The only thing that is giving me hope on the season is Iowa has absolutely dominated us in the Campbell era yet we have gone on to have good to great seasons in those losses despite the initial bleak outlook following CyHawk. The D had another solid game, we just need 1-2 play makers to step up on offense and we can still have a decent season.
They aren’t gonna become world beaters during the year. These were two VERY mediocre teams going at, and there wasn’t really anything to indicate the offense is gonna be anything other than below-average at best, so unless the Big XII is really terrible, what do you expect?
Seems more likely both he and Nate are running the offense their head coach wants.
To me, Campbell has, at this juncture, stopped coaching against the other team or even for our team and has started coaching to prove various points. Most coaches get there at some point. I really hope at the end of the year he takes an offer to go elsewhere because once you start doing that you just keep doubling own to prove you're right until you inevitably get fired.
There are absolutely people who can win at Iowa State. Matt Cambell, a moronic dork loser, being able to take us to the Big 12 Championship is proof of this. Don’t be happy with garbage.
I don't want to ever hear anyone ripping on our OC ever again. We've changed them several times now under CMC... same results. This is all on Matt folks. When he just promoted Nate... we all should have known nothing was changing.

Yeah, they were happy to give us that 9 minute run up the middle drive we used to make it a one score game.
If they didn’t have the pick 6 it’s probably still the same one score game.
Scoring on that first missed FG drive and not giving up Pick 6 combined could have won it or made a truly close game but that’s too many “ifs”.
