He like's Sam Richardson's play and having Mark Mangino as OC. Also said we did a good job running against the nation's worst defense and TTU has the 2nd worse defense so we should be able to move the ball.

Sorry to bring up Iowa in this thread, but I think it's important.

We've been talking about how we need to throw deep more. Look at Iowa today. If they were ISU today, they would have 0 pts at halftime instead of 16. Illinois had Iowa in 3rd and 15+ yds three times in the first half, and Iowa threw bombs down the field every time and completed them for huge gains that led to points.

We HAVE to be more aggressive going down the field. That is all.

I get what you're saying, but Beathard is way way better than SR. We're limited by what our QB can do and the coaching staff's evaluation of what SR can do. SR isn't talented enough to just go out and make plays like Beathard does. If ISU's QB was Beathard level I think the score would have been exactly what the score was.

Fox Sports Midwest (40, 832). The paper listed MC22 as well but I don't see it on the schedule. Not sure about the 17-2.
