It was not targeting. Sorry. Hit him with his face mask and the shoulder. I dont care that the idiotic targeting rule has always been stupid and horribly called by officials, all of whom are incompetent and terrible at there job. That was a good tackle. Have all the losers that have never tackled someone thinking defensive players are supposed to defy the laws of physics.

Guys played their asses off. Just made huge mistakes in big moments.

Disagree it's a 'good tackle'. I think it's fair to argue maybe it wasn't targeting, but that type of hit is exactly what we need less in football. A guy already going to the ground, almost down, and you have a defender using all his strength to just knock the crap out of him 6 inches before he hits the ground. I hate those hits, irregardless of 'targeting'.

We continue to find new and interesting ways to lose games. Having said that we were jobbed by the refs. If we had horns on our helmet that would have been targeting and our ball.

Consistency would be nice. It's called on us enough, but I guess you are ok with it not being called on UT in a critical moment.

I’m waiting for the opponent to be flagged for tackling us into the ground.

It only happens about 20 times a game for every team.

We’ve been penalize for it several times this year. When does that one even out.

That’s the worst rule in the game. At least with targeting players can change their behavior to partially avoid it. There’s no way to tackle a human without potentially driving them into the ground. Hitting them without wrapping up is the only way to do that and a team coached to do that would be the worst defense in history.

Obviously that was sarcasm aimed at the geniuses on here that were blaming Hutchinson.

Brutal, brutal loss. Boys didn't play perfect, X scores on that usually, Dekkers with a bad INT.

But they also balled out, too. I'm just ******* sad after that. Can't even be mad, I'm all out of being mad at B12 officials. We all know if the jerseys are swapped it gets called differently. So, I remain just sad.

Kudos to Manning for getting Dekkers moving out of the pocket more, glad to see Noel making plays. A lot of little adjustments that were brought up on here this week were implemented and the offense had a lot more life, Dekkers was really awesome outside of his one (still big) mistake.

But I'm not sure it matters. 0-4 in conference by a combined 14 points, and it's going to be extremely difficult to make a bowl. Losing X next year, too.

I'm just down y'all.

The coaches didn’t bite on an inside move in the end zone and didn’t drop a pass on a crucial drive. Players had opportunities to make plays and the coaches had them in those positions. Go Cyclones!

Agree 100%. The corner had inside help there. Can’t bite that hard to the inside when your responsibility is to the outside.
