*** Official IOWA STATE vs #11 Oklahoma Game(Day) Thread ***

That’s better than ISU’s best win, Iowa. Neither team played a grueling schedule but they also have decent wins against Iowa, USC and Arkansas. I think Iowa and OU are pretty even. Probably going to come down to who can execute down the stretch
Unless you meant Iowa State, I'm pretty confident Iowa is not "pretty even" to OU...unless they shoot 70% from the field.

Buckle up, Medicate up, drink up, smoke up, whatever you got. Big 12 season is here.

I was chatting with BYU fans on Reddit about the realities of 13-5 KU winning the conference safely last year, 8-10 locking up ncaa bid, and 4-5 game losing streak being common for teams that make dance or maybe make the sweet 16 and win big 12 tournament.

It’s gonna be extremely rough this year if OU and BYU are truly this much better than anyone guessed. It was gonna be a tough year when we thought those teams were in the bottom four.

Big 12 really gets a lot of games relegated to ESPN+. Why do the networks NOT want the far and away top conference to be seen? Wait, could it have anything to do with us not being SEC or B1G?

When we were on our 4 year constantly ranked streak with only 10 teams it was rare we ever dropped below espn2.

Hopefully steady success continues and reduces the “+”.

With 16 teams next year no way all our games will ever be on their main 3 channels.

Great to get to meaningful games. There has been such a lack of real basketball conversation since the Iowa game. Everything that has happened since comes with the caveat of “need to see it against good teams”.

I think the article on Milan seems like the first he’s been mentioned in months, even though he’s still averaging almost 14 a game and shooting 44% from 3.

Basically Omaha not getting minutes in blowouts has been the only conversation that doesn’t die after a few responses

The laws of Big 12 basketball dictate that someone that has come out unexpectedly hot is going to get beat down, and someone that has kind of underperformed is going to rise up.

We start out with 4ish teams ranked because the AP voters like to pretend other conferences are on the same level.

Then we play some games and 6 or 7ish teams get ranked because reality.

Then those teams play each other and we’re back to 4ish ranked teams.

Then the committee selects and seeds more objectively than the polls.

That’s been the cycle.

The ESPN+/ streaming discussion is now over. ESPN wants a lot of the best games on ESPN+ because it is a big part of the future. The B1G has a lot of games on peacock this year. It's just the reality

Look no further than Arizona Purdue on peacock a few weeks ago. If these companies want people to subscribe they can't just put the worst match ups on there

Won’t be able to watch live. Anyone know if replay is available immediately on ESPN+? Going to try and watch later in the evening
