Mostly perception. Iowa has been good the past few years, ISU has not.

Add to that Iowa's trouncing of ISU in 2016.

The game itself I am not overly surprised at the line but would have thought 3.5 or so.

Yeah I think 3-5 point dogs makes more sense than 1.5.

Give me over 3 and I start thinking about ISU at home, at 1.5 I have to admit I wouldn't even be tempted to put $ on ISU although they did look much better than last year's opening game disaster.

You gotta admit that some of the Derp around here over beating UNI is pretty funny. I guess I will never understand ISU fans confidence. Iowa beat Wyoming by 21, and at no point did it really look like Wyomings offense was a threat. This was a team that went to a Bowl game and received top 25 votes, and has a legit 1st Rd draft pick at QB. After that I'm more worried about the ISU game than I was going into that game.

Yet ISU beats UNI by 18 and you'd think they just beat OU by the confidence a lot of the ISU fans have now. Just weird to me as to where all that confidence is coming from?

This would be the best Christmas gift anyone could give me. I'm coming to this site less and less since these idiots have taken it over. I guess I should be happy that our lil' brother fans worship us so much now, are obsessed with everything ISU, and spend all day every day over here, right? Nope..... good riddance! I thought Iowa would win before Saturday and still think they will. Iowa's QB being a turnover machine could be a huge issue for you guys this year but I fully expect you to look like the Patriots on speed this weekend.

It's the biggest game of the regular season for both teams. But Hawk fans acting like this game means nothing to them are lying to themselves. If they could automatically mark one win on their schedule, this is the game.

I actually think the game has similar importance to both teams. It is the game that you least want to lose. Fans of both sides dread the thought of losing.
