*Official Iowa-ISU Prediction Thread*

What does that say about ISU that they can't even beat an average team in an overrated conference?

The real fact is that you are just too bitter to see is both teams are pretty good. If you can play defense like both teams can, they will be in every game. I know ISU fans don't get it, but Campbell does, and that is why he wants a D just like Iowas, bend but don't break, make teams earn every inch.
I agree that both teams are pretty good. Just tamping down your arrogance.

If ISU had played their game last week, today's game would have been even closer. Not claiming we would have won, but it would have been an even better fight.

Good luck against Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State.

Oh, wait...

ISU Ol is better this year than last year, but Iowa's D line is 100% better this year than last year. AJ is just dominating and make Foster look really bad. Heck when he got that strip sack the RB even chipped AJ, and he still got through both of them a got the strip.

Can't say I agree with ISU's being better, no idea on Iowa's and don't know who AJ is but they had some good speed on the outside and I thought their lbs flowed well to the ball completely unblocked, haha.

JGJ might as well have not played so ISU's Oline from last week could at least had some continuity and communication. If your center is getting beat inside it's a problem.

Either way a 4 yard hitch doesn't need to worry about what the dline is doing. Taking something underneath is better than trying to create what's not there.

Still not impressed with Stanley unless good means doesn't set the feet well and throws a good sinker.

Kempt and DM were both being asked to play outside of themselves. Kempt isn't Baker Mayfield and DM isn't invincible Mario.

Not arrogant at all. I don't think we will the B1G, it is just too tough. I do think ISU has a good chance to finish 6-3 and tie for second in the Big 12 and go to the championship game vs OU.

How can you not win the b1g west? Who are the bullies there?

I was not impressed with Stanley at all and frankly I thought he would be better so far than he has been. He missed several wide open players, and this game should have been 17-3 or 21-3 if he would have played an even average game.

Yeah ISU's 2ndary has youth and I thought ISU was at least around the ball pretty well for a 1st real game situation.

I don't have much to gripe for ISU's defense except maybe getting some INTs but they weren't game changers. But any good defense even with depth can't keep it up if the offense can't produce 200 yards with experienced specialists.

ISU defensive numbers look good also because Iowa tries to shorten the game and possessions. I doubt ISU will play a Big 12 game that the opponent only runs 64 offensive plays. Same goes for ISU O, they won’t only run 56 offensive plays in their Big12 games

I'm not worried about yardage or offensive plays--I just thought ISU flowed well to the ball despite some new faces and tackled well, etc.

I thought their alignment was a bit tight with the LBs but I'll have to look back at last year and see if it was similar.

I don't think we are better than Wisconsin. I wish we were, but we just aren't, not with Stanley playing like he is.
I guess that is what gripes me. With your schedule you could end up 9-2 or 8-3, and playing in a marquis New Year's day Bowl. In which you will play another Wisconsin or Nebraska caliber team and get blown out.

Meanwhile, we have to play everyone. And fight for a December 28 type of Bowl.

Sour grapes? Yes...

Are you insinuating that ISU sucks?
Not at all. We played our first game of the year AT Iowa, and lost a close game.

We play Oklahoma, TCU, and West Virginia, among others.

Please check in when you play ohio state, michigan, and michigan state.

So no credit given to the Hawks BAU

You are scared of Texas Tech, Texas who lost to Maryland, K State who got destroyed today, Kansas, and Baylor? I mean that is 5 wins right there. Split the OU, OSU, WVU, and TCU and you are playing in the Big12 title game.

Sure. And if Iowa wins 2 out of 3 against ohio state, michigan, and michigan state they will

Oh, wait...

ISU could go 7-2 in conference and be 8-3 overall and play in the Big12 title game. If Iowa goes 7-2 inconference and 10-2 overall there is no way they make the B1G title game.

Because we play everyone, and you don't.

But hey, you get to finish 9-3 and look real good to the bowl selection committee. Until you get blown out.
