Official: Haliburton Declares for Draft:

Not sure if the piece will be shown on ESPN+ or on the Ocho but Tyrese's is getting an ESPN scouting video released soon.

@Mike_Schmitz Snippet from our in-depth ESPN Film Session with potential top-5 pick Tyrese Haliburton. Enjoyed chatting with the Iowa State PG. A lot of insightful stuff from one of the smartest players in the draft. The full segment is almost done being produced and should be released soon.

Meh, I hope he doesn't follow the Bouchard path. I hope he focuses on being the best basketball player he can be and doesn't get caught up in the fame.

Just watched one of his HS games, and man he is fun to watch at that level too. Side note: had his left wrist taped in said game.

11. Spurs
Tyrese Haliburton (G, Iowa State)

Old-school spot-up game, versatile, can play off the ball and catch-and-shoot. High basketball IQ and smart passer. So basically on-brand for the Spurs and coach Gregg Popovich, who will likely find a way to get Haliburton’s hot-and-cold defense to stay locked in at all times.

If I didn't know who Tyrese was I would guess he's a white player based on those buzz words.

Pretty accurate write-up. The only thing I'd disagree with is "lack of athleticism". He may not be super quick, but he made several plays last year that showed he can get up.

Those things are judged by NBA standards in these write-ups.

TH was a pretty good or even elite athlete for college ball.

He is not going to be at the next level. And that is fine.

Plenty of guys are productive if not great players without Westbrook athleticism.
