We've been here before. This time of year 2005. Remember how Iowa was #8 pre-season? Remember how we kept hearing they were going to win the national title? It sure made beating them A LOT sweeter.

Wow, those crazy Hawks comparing Clayborn to Suh need their heads examined.

Lots of differences between the team that will come back next year and that team. Lots of differences between the ISU team that year and the ISU team that will come back next year.

Yeah nobody is Suh good. But he might be the second best D lineman Ive seen all year game in and game out.

I personally think he is crazy for coming back. I REALLY hope he doesnt get hurt. He has a lot of money waiting for him.

agreed on both counts. he should take the money while its there.

As I've stated previously, that's what Lloyds of London is for.

But I'm more of a paycheck guy than an insurance guy.

Good for him for coming back, but it seems like going pro makes more sense right now. Unless there are factors that I don't know. Since I'm "so close" to their program, there probably are.

But going and earning the paycheck makes sense to me.

I see what you're saying, but the money is still green either way.

Yeah. They had two All-American LBs, and a future NFL running back.

I see a ton of similarities: solid O-line, overrated QB, NFL caliber DE.

Iowa had a great year. I'd love for ISU to win 11 games. I just don't think Iowa is going to have that magic next year they had this year. Nothing more than a gut feeling and only time will tell if I'm right or wrong.

My heart wants to agree with you, but my head doesnt. That is a legit top 10 team next year. They might choke... but there is no reason for that team to lose more than 2 games next year.

Don't forget that brand new defensive line that Iowa brought into that game in 2005, and that the game was played in Ames, which up until about halftime last year has been a house of horrors for Ferentz.Neither will be the case this September.
