***OFFICIAL FINALS THREAD***

Most of you don't even know what hard finals are. Law school finals start this week. 2 of my classes have one essay question that will be worth 100% of my grade.

I'd rather this be the case, I'd just not go to class.

How is that class? I'm wondering whether to take that or 309 since engineers can now take either of those instead of 314.

302 is the class I have a report due for on Monday. HATE the class. Lots of busy work, and a complete waste of time. But, I had a couple friends who have taken it with a different professor and said they really enjoyed it. So I guess it does depend on who you get for a professor.

Tuesday - STAT 226 and ACCT 284
Thursday - ACCT 215

PHIL 230 took our final on Friday, get to miss one day of BUSAD 202 since I've had perfect attendance up to this point, and already have an A- locked up in BUSAD 250 and it's almost mathematically impossible for me to raise my grade to an A if I take the optional final.

You guys jelly?

Did you have ACCT 284 with that Ukrainian Watanabe? (Or however you spell it) I'm glad to be outta there haha.

I'm taking ACCT 284 next semester. Business majors say it's hard, engineering majors say it's easy. Hmm... who do I believe?

Well Physics 221, I was at a low D- according to the scale in the syllabus after the final. Ended up with a C+ after the curve. So yeah, heavy curve for sure

Study hard for this class. It's a weed out class. If you pass it, you can pass a ton of classes in the relatively difficult majors.

somewhere between a 78 and 81 will get you an A-, 68-71 B-, etc. Doc is right, I got a whole letter grade better in 222, the class structure is the exact same and took me one round to get used to it.

thanks guys for the responses...I'm not in any danger of flunking the class, but with the tests average being low I wondered if their goal is to fail 3/4 of the people.

I took it and it wasn't that bad. Other than attending class, I put forth zero additional effort and got a C+. If an Agronomist can pull a C+ without trying anyone can do the same with studying.

As an Ag Studies major I'd say it's average difficulty. If you do well on the homeworks (which have a "Check Answer" button on every question) and do marginally well on the exams you'll be alright.

With average effort I'm sitting at an 80% going into the final, and I'm not very good with numbers.

Let's just say it will be my last semester and I won't put forth much effort.

threads like this make me glad I'm not in college anymore

and ditto to the 7:30am finals. Those sucked.

Its not a terribly hard class, just depends on professor you get. I had Whittle (sp?), she was not very good. I have had a couple other friends take it with Clem, have heard she is a really good professor.

Have a 7:30am on Friday, followed immediately by another one in the same room. None. Too. Fun.

one of my most hated classes ever had a 7:30am Friday final, with one like someone else mentioned where the final was optional as it could really, really hurt your score. I was right below an A but high enough that I'd have to really do poorly to drop to a C, so of course I make myself take it.
1/3 of the class failed.....I felt damn lucky to escape with a B.

My husband got screwed a couple semesters in a row - got the noon slot on Friday.

Clem rings a bell, I think that's who I had? Class caught me up a couple times, but I really liked the professor.
