MLB: ***Official Cubs Offseason Thread***

The announcement of the 2018 starting rotation has me excited! Lester isn't your prototypical dominant ace, but there's not a deeper staff in baseball. Love Hendricks as the #2! Takes some pressure off of Darvish and shows appreciation for what Maddux Jr. has done over the past 3 season. Q as the #4 is laughable as he would be a #2 on most teams in MLB. I'm really excited to see what a healthy Tyler Chatwood looks like away from Coors Field. The guy is a ground ball machine who has filthy movement to his off speed pitches. Even with pitching in Colorado, his allowed homerun rate was just a tick above average. I'm hoping this guy can stay healthy and reap the benefits of throwing behind the 4 monsters in front of him.

Chatwood's going to win about 18 games in that 5th spot. He'll be the better pitcher in those matchups, pitched really well away from Coors, and well, that Cubs defense.

Home game in about 35 days. Wonder how long before that date (April 9) they want/need to get the grass turf down?

How long before Bode returns? Did he ever post after he lost that avatar bet? I’m sure he comes back when season starts. If he isn’t banned

Ian Happ red hot right now. Another HR & Double today thus far. Hopefully not using them up in Spring Training.

I recommend calming down before the Cubs rattle off a 100 wins this year.

HAHA he pitched 2 innings, earned a 4.50 ERA, and walked 2. Not a good start.

It's cute how you leave out the fact that he struck out 4 and didn't allow a hit in his 2 innings of work. It was his first start of the Spring and against the team he ended the year on last season. He had nerves in the first inning. Walked 2 and had a wild pitch. I think he'll be just fine.....
