Hoiberg and RW have something special started...I'll love to watch Royce in the NBA, but he has benefits to coming back, but no one could blame him for taking the quick money either.

He will probably be back. To go pro, he needs to show he has a mid range shot which he can do next year. He has conquered free throws. He shows leadership. He can dribble and assist. He has show to his game. He will look good in the pros. Charlotte could use him tomorrow. The travel for pro teams is extensive so he may be able to work on fear of traveling over the next year. If TRob goes pro, he will get a lot of pub in the B12 next year. He is now on the national stage. Finally. If Kentucky can get their players insurance policies for playing, ISU can too.
I'd love to see Royce come back. I think he probably caught the eye of a bunch of scouts tonight though, and rightly so. Can you imagine the team next year with Royce? We'll miss Scottie and Chris, but holy cow, we'd be stacked.

why in the hell is royce not a top pick. he was better than mr. uni-brow and he is a top pick in the draft.
Royce did a lot of great things tonight and all season, but he really needs to improve his shot a lot to be in the NBA. He is not going to be able to split two defenders for the dunk in the pros like he did tonight. He also needs to work on his touch on the hook.
The thing that scouts will notice too is that Royce played outstanding defense tonight too. He really controlled things in there for the most part. As I said, I don't think he has to come back, but I hope to God he will!

Whatever decision he makes, I'll be happy. Although, we could be a really, really good team next year with him.
Royce is a great college player for sure. That doesn't guarantee his game translates to the NBA quite as well. He is kind of a "tweener" as far as height goes, can he go out on the floor and defend? Another year at ISU is probably in his best interest.
