It feels like we are really covering up our tracks after the ACC got their **** together.

IMO, something like Arizona, ASU, and CU are probably what is needed to entice OU to stay. There was an article linked here several months ago stating that Boren fancies himself as an intellect, and fancies the Big Ten and Pac-12 because those leagues are loaded with prestigious academic schools (AAU types). Arizona and Colorado are AAU schools, so maybe getting a couple of those back in the Big 12 might satiate his intellectual desires.
Trammel has an agenda.Wasn't all this research into potential expansion candidates done months ago by the research firm that the Big 12 hired to investigate the feasibility of expansion? This 17-team video conference interview thing seems to me like a big ruse. I feel sad for all those schools, because I think they are just wasting a bunch of money on this. IMO, if there is going to be expansion, there is already a short list (or maybe even a final list), an the rest is just smoke and mirrors.
I still feel that all of the G5 schools are a waste of time, and are just delaying the inevitable breakup in 2025. I don't really care for Berry Trammel, but he is at least somewhat connected, and he continues to claim that OU wants out...or maybe he is just feeding diversionary propaganda.

Probably true...I just wonder who's agenda it is...Trammel has an agenda.
SIAP, but the last school on the list of 17 in the ESPN article is Arkansas State (they updated the article):
"Among the 17 schools that will make their presentations to the Big 12 are Cincinnati, Houston, BYU, South Florida, UCF, UConn, Memphis, Colorado State, Boise State, Tulane, Temple, East Carolina, SMU, New Mexico, Northern Illinois, San Diego State and Arkansas State, sources said."
The AD from Tulane is good friends and old college classmates with Bowlsby, so Tulane might have a leg up on the others.
Arkansas State? Seriously?
Their fan was insufferable when ISU got picked over them for the Liberty Bowl a couple years ago.

Do you think Air Force would be all sports or football only? I think their wresting is in the big 12? I only wonder because I think their basketball would be around Tech's level or even worse TCU.On further thought with this BYU news I'd love to see 14, which isn't going to happen now. But if it did, and assuming no P5 team is leaving their current confernece...
Air Force and Colorado state. Give CSU some big boy money and see if they can take over Colorado like we've done in the State of Iowa.
Out east is Cincy and Houston.
