***OFFICIAL BAYLOR PREDICTION THREAD***

The only way ISU beats Baylor is if they have luck like this:

I love how the refs just stare at each other not sure what call to make.

ISU keeps it respectable in the 1st half only trailing 21-7. The 2nd half will be another house of horrors for the Clones at home as they fall by the final score of.... Baylor 66 - ISU 7

ISU 7 10 7 14-31

I predict that when most of us log on here on Sunday we will be looking for a thread about Diallo's visit or any other BB thread.

People are forgetting that Hoiberg still has eligibility for football.

He comes in to throw for 350 yards and 6 TDs, with 2 sacks and an interception.

ISU 45-7, but only because of Scott Drew's man crush.

Or it will be more like Utah in 2010.

No idea 1 of two things can happen, we get absolutely blown out, or we pull some Oklahoma State type crap out of our ***.

Baylor wins coin toss and elects to receive...they want to make their point early. Iowa State comes out fired up on defense and forces the first Bayior 3 and out of the season. Iowa State then manages to drive the ball inside the Baylor 10 only to get stuffed on two runs up the middle, then an incomplete pass to Bibbs on a fade in the back of the end zone. Netten drills a 20ish yard field goal to put the good guys up 3-0. Unfortunately, this will be the only lead of the day for the Cyclones.

Baylor scores TD's on their next two possessions while Iowa State's offense suffers a first half v.s. KSU-type meltdown. Baylor gets the ball again after a 2nd consecutive ISU 3 and out and proceeds to drive into the Iowa State red zone, where Petty feels some pressure for the first time since the opening drive and lets one get away from him into the hands of Tribune who has a nice return until Petty himself knocks him out of bounds across midfield back into Iowa State territory.

Iowa State gets another FG after the offense sputters just inside the 25, a 41 yard Netten FG 14-6 Baylor lead. Baylor scores easily on their next drive to put them ahead 21-6.

Iowa State will piece together a long TD scoring drive to take Baylor out of their rhythm, go for 2 and convert when Richardson finds Bibbs in the back of the endzone on a jump pass. 21-14 Baylor

The long drive took the clock down to 1:23 in the 2nd qtr. and ISU fans are excited about the prospects of going into the locker room down only 1 score. That is until Petty gashes the secondary on 3 straight plays accumulating 80 yards and using up just 40 seconds of clock. 28-14 Baylor at the half.

2nd half won't get much better for the Cyclones. Offense continues to struggle and tired defense starts getting abused. Final score in the ballpark of 56-21 Baylor

Clones keep it close at half 21-17, but Baylor comes out firing and puts it away in the early 4th. Baylor 49-31, With a late touchdown by ISU to backdoor cover.

Baylor 14 7 21 7-49
ISU 7 10 7 14-31

I'm no math magician but that doesn't come out to 31 any way I put those together.

With the caveat that I'm simply not going to pick ISU to lose...

Cyclones come out and hit hard, tackle surely, limiting Baylor's YAC. Shades of the '11 OSU game, without the early mistakes. Bryce Petty finds out what Weeden discovered. Defense and special teams toss in a score or two.

ISU 38-35.
