Uh, not really...
I looked up the Prohm era so far on KenPom just now, and in his first season (2015-16), we only lost to Baylor (who does have our number lately, it seems) who ended up as a #5 seed, and West Virginia, who was a #3 seed. Hardly average teams.
2nd season, 2016-17, we only lost to #1 seed Kansas and # 4 seed West Virginia (again). Once again, hardly "average" teams.
I'm not even going to take last season into account, as it was an under talented, undermanned team riddled with injuries, much like Fred's first team back in 2010-11. As it was, we still kicked the crap out of ranked teams in Texas Tech and West Virginia.
This season does appear to be the anamoly so far. It is frustrating, to say the least.

I'm not in the 'fire Prohm!' crowd whatsoever, but it's a trend of him talking about what he thought about doing, what he should have done, etc. in these types of games.
If it's an idea that comes to mind for something to change, isn't it worth at least trying?
Post game with Walters on the drive home he kept saying all the problems that happened last night were on him and he needed to make changes. He said this in his presser too
7 rebounds and 6 assists but who would you give his minutes to?

Then play him. There's no way it would have been worse.
Prohm is slow to change things up. It is a good thing at times and a bad thing at times. Sometimes you don't want to overreact and change something just based on one game but on the other hand you also have to know when it is time to fix something or do something different.

Agree, you need to log off and try something else if you can’t handle critical posts following a home loss to an average and depleted Baylor team, or resort to “there are worse things in life” as your response during a discussion about basketball. Yes, there are worse things in life. Once you learn to compartmentalize things in life, people expressing frustrations about basketball won’t get to you.
He also called out the team, which needed to be done as well. It wasn't Huggins direct, but there were subtle shots in the there about guys ignoring what they were told.
Baylor on drives from guys like Mason always went to the right, it was like clockwork. Team was supposed to hedge it, and when they did Baylor got bogged down, but they just did not respond.
To me at that point, other guys were at practice and understand the game plan, I think if guys are not being consistent in executing the game plan you try other guys. But coaches not just Prohm are a stubborn lot, and if you poll most fan bases after a loss in the vast majority of the cases the complaint will be they did not try some different things.
Part of what Prohm is doing is trying to deflect the blame away from the players and to himself. A lot of fans don't appreciate coaches calling their players out in public. I do think that Prohm doesn't hold players accountable enough on the court. Most of us thought that we had a deep bench prior to the start of the Big 12 season but yet players can take plays off or make dumb plays and they rarely get taken out of the game. That was understandable last year with the lack of bench but not so much this year.
Did anyone notice, Prohm had the lucky red tie on last night, I guess that can be put into retirement now.
We like to think we have elite talent this year but we don't have a true big man that can dominate and we certainly don't have any jet quick guards that can move their feet and stay in front of people on defense or break another teams defense down by blowing by someone. This team has a lot of interchangeable parts which can be good but also limiting.
That's kind of the thing though...he seems to actually know when he should be trying something else, and doesn't, but then talks about it after the fact.

I don't, Talley, Lewis, and Conditt are capable of playing quality minutes. Look at the players Baylor ran out there last night if you think otherwise. We have all this depth everyone was talking about but Prohm refuses to use it. Another thing to consider, those starting 5 have been playing a ton of minutes since early November, they might be wearing down a bit also.
That was last night. Doing fine today.
To respond to your post, mine was a tongue-in-cheek response to the (few) people who are losing their minds. Criticism is perfectly fine after last night (I wasn’t happy with the team at all). But we’re still a tournament team with a lot of basketball left, no matter how frustrating last nights effort was.
Talley hasn't been good this year and there is a reason Lewis isn't playing. We're not going to go 10 deep nor should we. Conditt I think should have gotten some run last night to try it out but definitely not Lewis

Read his post again. He didn’t mention or allude to Prohm accepting blame.
