Newsflash: Fred was 37-33 his first four years at ISU in the Big 12. He also never finished with more than 12 league wins. Prohm has matched that as well.
We’re at the end of year 4. The sample size is plenty big enough.
Btw, he had two years to recruit for that team he built last year.
OK, not fair. Given the recruiting hole he inherited and the situations with injuries last year, that totally distorts the record. But still, he is only 30-19 in the other three seasons. That's only a 61% winning percentage. Good enough for the tourney, yes. We could lose out and still go this year given how terrible the bubble is - in fact, I'd go as far as saying if we lose out, we won't even be in the First Four. 8-10 in the B12 this year with wins against KU, @KSU, @TT, @OleMiss would lock in no worse than a 10 seed. It may even still be possible to tie for the league title at 13-5...if we somehow win out. But I don't think it's unreasonable for Cyclone fans to expect being in the top 2 of the league on a consistent basis. We are now looking at 4 teams in front of us in a season where the opportunity was right there for us to take the title.
His first year doesnt really count, he had like 1 and a half big 12 ready players.

Conditt board work and shot block threat was needed. Wanted to hand Fred a note to take to Prohm and that said, "Conditt might help eliminate the 2nd chance shot"
I do think Conditt will get floor time on Saturday, I hope he does, cuz there is gonna be a lot of the same sets run by TCU as what Baylor did tonight.
I just don't think they can install offensive sets with both Conditt and Lard out there this late into the season

Look on the bright side guys, at least we don’t play NCAA tourney games in Hilton! Super frustrating game, needed to make some shots down the stretch and simply couldn’t. Our last made basket was with 6:23 left didn’t score from the floor again until 23 seconds left. Someone’s gotta step up and want to take games over in clutch time.
Not going to be a popular opinion, and it won’t happen, but you can’t just keep getting nothing from your starting point guard that is a senior, need a change there, take Babb from 38 minitues to about 15, more of a spot minutes guy really
