***OFFICIAL: Baylor @ Iowa State PREDICTION THREAD***

If we expect to win... we'll lose.
However, if we CAPITALIZE on every one of their mistakes, turnovers and miscues, we should be in good shape.
Same thing is true for Baylor. Go Cyclones!

With Barnett: 24-13

With Jantz: 34-13

With Richardson: 45-6

We need this win, so regardless of who gets the start, we need better tempo and play calling on offense.

Are all your scores predicted to be ISU victories or losses?

I'll have to edit if it is meant to be ISU losses, but I'll assume you mean victories in which case: NO WAY does Jantz start and they only score 13, because he is good for at least 3 turnovers (2 picks and a fumble most likely.) Also I have no way of knowing what you based the Richardson score on....only thing I can say for him is if we throw him out there, this is definitely the game to do it rather than against a Texas or Oklahoma. And the defense really won't know how to gameplan him due to no gameplay action. We don't really know what he is capable of yet.

Now would be a good time for our special teams to break loose and help out the offense a bit. I want to see Jarvis take one to the house.

Have defenses scored much against Baylor?

Are they prone to turnovers?

I think Baylor will put up 34 or 35 points. If ISU's lackluster offense (with maybe an assist or two from the D and ST's) can put up more against Baylor's terrible D, ISU wins. If not, it will be another long night at JTS.

Predict a few long Pick 6s! One for Reeves and one for Klein. Let there offense move the ball, but us score on these drives.

People need to remember that Baylor's defense was just as bad last year as they are this year and they held ISU to less then 30 points. This year I think they hold ISU's embarrassing offense to less then 20.

Baylor 45
ISU 10

Bonus prediction: Coach Mess will need an armed police escort to make it out of the stadium following the game and anytime he leaves the house for the remainder of the season he will have to disguise his identity similar to what happened to Bartman after the infamous Cubs-Marlins NLCS game.

You mention picks and forget our pick machine Mr. Washington?

Oh, yes, by all means, Washington will have at least one pick, but not a Pick 6. I love the idea of them moving the ball downfield and us getting interceptions in the red zone each time.

for the weekend:

UT 28 - KU 20
TCU 24 - OSU 31 (pending QB)
KSU 34 - Tech 30
BU 21 - ISU 30
OU 24 - ND 16

So far in conference games, we have scored in only 8 of 16 qtrs.
33 points in Qtr 1 vs 38 in Qtr 2,3,&4 combined.

Take out the TCU game (TCU QB off the bench day before the game. TD pass bombs to Lenz), ISU is averaging less than 14 points per game.

'Don't see this game any different.

ISU 14
Baylor 31

Hope I am wrong.

Yeah, they really missed Pachall covering ISU receivers and stuffing the run.

I guess I'm not really seeing the huge difference the QB situation had on how many points ISU scored.

ISU 38 Baylor 28
Richardson throws three tds and runs for another. One pick 6 for the D plus two recoveries.
Beginning of a new season, baby.
