That's why it's not surprising. But to have a 3-man race and give it to two seems like a pretty clear slap in the face. No complaints from me though.

agreed... Haith did absolutley nothing to deserve coach of the year. In my mind, it was going to be either hoiberg or self... so, i'm really happy with the result. they are both first class coaches and deserve the honor.
I thought Hoiberg could have won it out-right. But I thought he would be completely shut out, so this is a pleasant surprise. Haith easily could have gotten it as well, but he's playing with someone else's guys.
