*** Official #24 IOWA STATE vs #19 TCU Game(Day) Thread ***

Gotta come out strong in 2nd half. No way TCU will play that sloppy in second half. Can't let them off the hook.
Thinking the exact same. We need to stay crisp and be ready to not get handed 18 turnovers. Guessing TCU has a run or two they can go on. Minimize and weather it, and then stop the **** out of the frog.

so what shall we complain about?
1. C Jones missed a freethrow
2. R. Jones fouled a player with his face, gotta move your chin better there!
3. Gilbert had a turnover trying to take the ball to the basket, once.
4. Hassan is upsetting the guards having more assists than them combines.
5. King is just a ******* man, he's making me feel bad about myself.
6. PAV not looking like an 8th grader (not sure why this is bad?)

This team needs Tamin Lipsey. However, today they are proving they’re much more than just Tamin. Everybody has stepped up and I think T.J. has even found something new in his team offensively & defensively.
Agreed. And sometimes a game like this can be good for the rest of the team. Forces guys to step up and gives opportunities to guys who may not get many minutes.

If we hold on, this has to be a huge confidence boost for the team and an incredible performance by the team and coaching staff.

agree. I think we need to find a way to play 10 guys each night. May just depend on the match ups, but you can just tell we have some guys with fresh legs.

I fully expect TCU to got on some 15-4 run or something, so its nice to have a bit of a cushion.

Also, 24-4 points in paint and 12-5 fast break points. That’s how you have to play against TCU. Especially with no Tamin.

To be fair, if we get outscored by 18+ in the second half i think some degree of complaining might be warranted.

Sure. But this kind of lead isn't safe in a 20 minute half in college basketball especially today.

I expect TCU will tighten up on both ends and work on ISU's foul trouble issues with isolation or curls/picks.

And I can't expect ISU to get the looks on offense that they've gotten.

I'd guess TCU gets it to 6ish and then from there someone from ISU will need to step up.
