Even with heavy wind and snow, we must have four dozen birds attacking the feeders. I am going to have to go refill them soon and I did that around 8:45 this morning

Probably somewhere between 3-4 now, coming down pretty good. It's heavy but not sopping wet. Shoveled most of the driveway while kids played. DH still hasn't tested the snowblower so again, I expect we will get slammed.

That’s when you hire someone to do it and not ruin your neighbors weekend. Don’t make your problem their problem.
It blows me away how upset people get about mowing. I have never once been disturbed by or really noticed the neighbor mowing at any time, and if I was, so what. With snow blowing, you definitely don't have the windows open. To me you would be rude to suggest you could dictate their schedule for them.

This snow is so heavy, I'm wondering how much of it will blow around with the winds coming later. Probably more than I think, but it just doesn't seem to move that easily.

Portions of 80 in Eastern Iowa are now in the travel not advised category. I would expect this to become common as the afternoon and evening go on.

Noise ordinances are a thing you know

Looks like around 10 inches for Des Moines
5 more inches Friday
Sunday and Monday -5 as the high

Next week, I go to Honduras :)

What’s the skinny on the next system for NE Iowa? Anyone know?

So you support mowing your lawn at six in the morning on a Saturday? Thank God we’re not neighbors.

If I hear anyone mowing at 7 a.m. during a blizzard, I’ll let you know.

Think 135 north from Des Moines to Ames will be safe to travel through this afternoon. Want to go to the game
