Unfortunately the storm is entering Coralville now, which is the current RAGBRAI overnight stop. Hope everyone will be okay.

Quite a bit of lightning too. Got caught out in Marshalltown one year and all I could do was sit on the outside of a block public park restroom opposite of the wind.

That was a bit dicey in NE CR for sure. Wife said she and some others on RAGBRAI are stuffed into a concrete bathroom st Sugar Botttom.

On this date in 1986 a derecho went from NW Iowa through central Iowa causing 25 million dollars worth of damage and blew 16 rail cars off the Boone bridge into the DSM river.

SE Side near East Post, we still have power, though we did lose it for about 10 seconds.

Lost a ~20 foot tree branch that hopefully did not land squarely on my septic filtration tank. Guess I'll know in the morning.
