It's raining!

Well, more accurately it is STORMING.
No where near the metro unfortunately :(

Ragbrai from Ames to DSM today, and there are some fantastic spots on that route to get a beer, and it's gonna be approaching 100f.

Drink water too, people.

Fun tid-bit. Some of the dew points registering in central/southern Iowa are flirting with the hottest on record. 82 is the record for Des Moines. 5 minute obs are placing DSM at 79. Seems like we're about 2-4° off in most locations pushing up into the upper 70s/80s.

Anytime you get dew points in the 80s, that's bonkers type of moisture.

Usually this time of year is where the highest are found with the corn sweat and peak of summer.

Unfortunately the clouds and showers are going to bust the super high temperatures/heat index potential we had for central and western Iowa.

I rode RAGBRAI yesterday and the route was easy but with the heat made it a lot harder. Today the route is really tough (4200+ ft of climb - 90 miles) and the heat is worse. This could be bad.

Unfortunately?

Currently 101.3 here in CR. I hate winter, but I could go for some cold weather about now.
