I get that and there was obviously a lot of pain for a lot of people to get where we are now and where we will be in a couple of years but in my mind the city is in a much better position now then we were then. The massive redevelopments and improvements (and I am not talking about time check or kingston village) would not have happened without it. We would still have abandoned packing houses and other old industrial areas just rusting away,That's a spicy take. I get where you're coming from and there have been many improvements to the city since, but it also started a decade of the city council focusing on the downtown many times to the detriment of the rest of the city.
