Found out one of my gutters was plugged up with leaves after water was running over. Last time that happened, I ended up with a little water in my basement. I ended up cleaning that gutter in the pouring rain but at least it is fixed.
I remember my dad having to do that sometimes. He'd be up on the ladder in his swimming trunks while cleaning the gutters.

Has anyone worked with Erie home roofing? I just had a sales rep come to my door and they're going to take a look at my roof tomorrow - just wondering if people have had good experiences with this company or if I should avoid them?

I've always felt like if they're coming to you offering products or services, it's probably a scam. Vacuum sales, house painters, Jehovah witnesses, all of them. Scams.

Snow showers here in W. I, (Western Iowa for the Uneducated), the neighbor putting his sprayer in the shed so the pump doesn't freeze and crack. Learned his lesson from last Spring.;)

I've done it twice.
Having a contractor, who is legit and will tel you honestly, is the best bet at the beginning. Have them look and then if warranted call and file a claim. I am a project manager for a small central Iowa company and if I see no to very little damage I tell the homeowner it really is not worth filing a claim. If it is damaged I will be there to work with the insurance to get everything that should be owed to the homeowner.
