And this is why it makes sense sometimes for a forecast to have "0-6" when there's that much uncertainty. You're not very far between a lot and nothing.
I remember a time around 2004 or 2005 when I was supposed to head to the state basketball tournament, I think the girls (we made both a few years so can't remember which it was). The night before the trip the forecast was for an inch or so. The morning of the trip they bumped it up to 1-3 inches. Ended up being a huge storm and on the way home in the evening it was snowing so hard we ended up taking an exit ramp off of I-80 and not realizing it until we were half way down the ramp. Ended up getting like 14 inches. Probably the biggest miss I've experienced on not seeing a huge storm coming. But again that was nearly 20 years ago and technology has changed a lot.

KCCI did not forecast 0 To 6. They had 0 to 6 as the range of possibilities including boom and bust. (Lame af) The forecast was 1-3 for Des Moines. Dude came up 3 inches short.

Btw, he also had Ames as 1-3.

WHO had AMES at 0.3
WHO had DM at 0.8

why are you constantly defending this guy, all he does is fail.

EDIT: screenshot of forecast. Dude looks like he shops at the buy 1 suit for $99 get the second suit free store.

Why the **** were you complaining about them putting 0-6 out there then? Those were possibilities that existed if the temperatures shifted slightly, and if they said 6 was on the 'boom'/unlikely end then that's even more clear. One of the actual weather people from WHO has been in this thread to tell you you're off base on your complaining about these forecast differences and yet you're still going. Your obsession is weird as ****.

Grinnell and Marshalltown got less than an half inch. He missed that storm badly. Wunderground nailed it again. He’d be better off just copying what they say.

"Hey! Yeah.
C. Glon he the best

All he do is forecast, forecast, forecast no matter what
He can never get enough
And everytime he step up to the camera the totals go up
And they stay there
And everyone say "what"!
And then they go down
Up down, up down, up down
Cause all he do is forecast, forecast, forecast
And if you goin' in on ol C. Glon you don't have a clue
And the jokes on you

LUDA!!

Central Iowa is lucky to have the Tom Brady of weather personalities. Chris is going to replace Roker on the Today show someday.

I'm thinking more like Mike Sidell or Jim Cantore on TWC.

He would be perfect dancing around like a lunatic when lightning flashes during a snowstorm.

Or trying to convince everyone how bad the wind is during a storm when people behind him are waving at the camera.

I’m sure when Chris was in Boston he had aspirations and dreams of ending up in Des Moines, IA working for the 3rd best station in that market.

This you? Sounds like we have another person triggered over weather predictions.

Darn close to a 20 degree difference between D.M. and Hwy 20 in the time it took to drive up there.

Accuweather: 6-12 inches of snow Wednesday night into Thursday will bring travel to a crawl across most of Iowa

NWS: 50 percent chance of snow Thursday

The NWS forecast doesn’t make Accuweather “wrong,” but at least there’s some perspective there almost 3 days out
Most women would be down to a crawl after 8-12 inches so that prediction seems about right.
