Air quality in the northland is killing my biking. Might have to decide to bike anyway but air is BAD again from Canada fires. As an elder dude I have been opting out of riding in this but might have to go anyway (maybe mask up) since it's so frequent I am really missing a lot of rides. This sucks.

Note, it's so bad out today I really didn't need to look to see that there was an air quality warning. Got the house outside air intake turned off. One breath deep breath and you can tell this isn't good for you.

Went running in it yesterday, probably not the best idea but was going to be 10F warmer and worse air today. Just went for a 30 min walk - I double masked because I don't think we actually have an n95. Without, it just smelled like smoke. Didn't smell it once I had them on though so hopefully that cut the cigarette intake equivalent.

I wore N95 for bird walkabout maybe 10 days ago when the air when all deep red alert and all. Really made a difference. Ordered some nice 3M ones back mid-COVID when supplies were catching up. Was thinking I'll never go through 50 masks but had not counted on having to use them for "regular" air. Used a few up last summer for biking in the smoke.

Gotta love the uper Midwest. It's too cold most of the year yo go outside then when it's actually nice out we have toxic smoke to breath in.

Yeah this seems to be a fun new thing we'll get to deal with more regularly. Can tell even from the last five years that it's gotten worse.
