***Official 2023 Transfer Thread***

I don't know if i'd use the term "killing it" but they seem productive.

vanderplas doesn't start for Virginia and averages 8 pts off the bench. Looks like a solid bench player. 32% on the year for three (23-71)

basile is a little bit better by averaging 13 points as a starte and shooting a solid 38% from three. He is probably "killing it" more than vanderplas

Basil is a good player on a bad team. He would get a few minutes for us but would not start.

Goodman and Gottlieb were talking TJ on there podcast that is pretty well known in the big 12 and SEC that iowa state doesnt have much NIL money
I browse gopherhole once in a while and someone on there says we have more NIL money than Minnesota, which I found surprising. Not sure how connected that poster is.

Thats the new excuse everytime you lose a recruit. You got out NIL'd. No matter what. If one team beats another, it had nothing to do with recruiting. It's always NIL now. So dumb.

8 at Virginia is 18 at Iowa State if you use the Shayok conversion rate.

Pure speculation but this guy is originally from St Paul, Minnesota. Did 1 year at Indian Hills (Covid year) and then transferred to Buffalo where he was an end of the rotation player as a freshmen but is now having a fantastic sophomore season. Would be a major transfer target with 2 years to play if he were to want to move up a level after this year.

2022-2023 stats: 16.1 ppg (43.2% FG, 37.7% 3PT, 73.1% FT), 5.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists.

For sure has the size TJ likes

Manny Bates at Butler appears to have a year of eligibility left.
Believe he used his one transfer. We were pretty heavily involved with him last year before he went to Butler. Luckily we got Osun late.
