Bates is a former Texas signee. Maybe he ends up at Marquette playing for Shaka.
Bates could be a good college basketball player as an upperclassmen in my opinion. Wasn't consistent this year but flashed some nice games. For example he had 14 in Indiana's Big Ten tourney loss to Penn State.
I'm not sure he fits our system but it felt like Bates never really found his role at Indiana. I would also say that's not necessarily an indictment against him as Indiana was an underachieving team relative to their talent level and experience.
I'm not saying I'd pass given he is super talented, but I watch a lot of IU games, and he frequently frustrated me from a decision-making perspective.
Well jock itch would know what sucks, all he has to do is listen to himself.
Some insight here about issues at UNC. Loves father was pretty blunt about things. The title game run was a house of cards that is coming tumbling down.

I want to stay far away from the dudes "testing the nba but keeping college eligibility"
I don't disagree, but he seems pretty far from a NBA prospect at this time. Figure it's just to get some evaluation.
The odds of those types of guys actually getting a call like Green did are pretty slim.
Similar to how I view it. At risk of blanket statement, could be "I'm going to get mine" priority/mentality.
Then again, that type of player could be a major benefit, if it's incorporated correctly.
Great for those players, but yeah. Seems like transferring would be the backup option and the enthusiasm wouldn't quite be there.
