Serbia did a good job contesting the middle of the field and slowing down Brazil. Raphinha had a great opportunity to score the opener, but shot was too weak.

Iran with two late goals in stoppage time (11-10 I believe). Based on their shellacking from England the US needs to have a good showing today but more importantly basically just beat Iran and should move on.

So close to getting the nil-nil draw in the Wales / Iran match. That would have been huge.

Now, it comes down to the Iran match as the only thing that matters. Win and you move on. Lose or draw, you're done. (I guess a win over England would give a chance to advance with a draw against Iran, but that's not likely IMO). So a good result for the US in that they control their own destiny now, but that draw would have been spectacular.

It could also be a good thing, again assuming we don’t beat England, that we know we have to beat Iran instead of just getting a draw. Could open up the offense and play with pressure knowing they have nothing to lose because they must win.

Looks like Iran will be without 1 player due to yellow cards. Jahanbakhsh got 1 in each match. Looks to have been a sub for each game for Iran.

Yeah that is super weak. No way the keeper was getting to that and he was already diving when it took a deflection. I don’t agree with the call at all.

Man Ecuador just got jobbed. That’s a BS call. If the keeper was standing there maybe but he already dove to make his move to the right. That’s where the shot was tracking and it deflected to go the other way and in. Woof come on FIFA that’s ridiculous.
