Ours is hanging in there. Our neighbor works for a heating and cooling company and his van is in the driveway. I think that means he’s on call but no one needs him at the moment. He was working on a friend of mine’s furnace at 6:30 this morning

Only hope is sand when it gets like this.
Even with snow tires on my car I have no interest in going out.
I've had our thermostat set at 65 all day today despite the dirty looks my wife keeps giving me.
Older home and the NW wind just hammers it, my west wall thermometer(mainly decoration) was at 58 added another 5 degrees to the thermostat.
65 would be tough to pull off. I've got ours at 68 and the wife has a small space heater going
Do you people like being cold? My thermostat somewhere in the 70s, I have no idea what it’s at. Whatever is comfortable enough for me to walk around with no shirt on.

I think I see Carl Showalter trying to bury a briefcase in the background, but visibility makes it difficult to verify.
My grandpa used to keep that temp way up there. We'd have to strip down when we'd visit.

No but ours got looked at....Feb 21? 22? Think 22. Couple things fixed then. But NW facing bedroom where I work was cold. Made husband come confirm if it's actually cold or my fever spiking again. Answer is both. Had door closed for a meeting and that makes it cold. Plus a shade had a gap from kids pulling them up.

We’re the opposite; we have a 2 and almost 4 year old girls. The 4 year old is (and has been) a cakewalk compared to the 2 year old.I agree and disagree. A second made about 10% more work. That part has felt manageable but we had a pretty tough time with sleep and other things with first.
And agree that 2 has nothing on 3-4. Mom friend called it ******* fours and yep. So sweet sometimes and others you are like I see how people lock kids in closets
Our second made a huge difference in workload. Probably because the oldest, while stubborn is still pretty agreeable.
One of my investment brokers said the happiest thing about COVID being over for her was not having to look at so many peoples beds in the background.
That is exactly why places that get this cold on a regular basis don't waste time with salt in these temps........and throw down sand for traction.
Jokes on others, I was in dining room til late this summer and they got to see a nice photo of Scotland. Now they get a wall and bed corner.
Didn't notice that, but read where the NWS out of Omaha in their 6-10 and 8-14 day forecast are saying there is a high chance of above normal temps.
So although it may not be 60's warm........Omaha is close enough to where if their NWS office get's theirs correct.......DSM and southern Iowa shouldn't be too far behind.
