Tryin to work at home with a 2 year old and not having much success over here. Daycare decided to close so had no choice.

Ugh the worst age imo is like 15 mths to 2.5. They are down to one nap, dangerous to themselves and others, and too little to park in front of a screen. Though the 4 year old just came in and tried to get on camera multiple times during an important client call. I'm pretty sure daycare will close tomorrow. Not that it much matters. No way we'll be able to get to the highway from here. Luckily I was off tomorrow anyway.........to do fun stuff on my own, like nap. It's cool. We'll have 10 full days of kids at home + working + sick. It's totally fine. Godspeed to you.

and as I say that, get notice daycare is closing an hour today, delayed opening tomorrow by 2 hours. Be pretty surprised if they open tomorrow but they're pretty much like the postal service. They never close.

Our two year old is quite the handful right now. Gets into everything. He has pulled down the Christmas tree at least twice. We had to move the garbage can into the pantry because he kept digging through the trash (I think he threw away my spare car keys). We have another boy coming in May and I'm not sure if my wife can handle two boys.

How cold was it running the snow chucker to clear the drive? Cold. Cold enough to pull out the German Luftwaffe sheepskin hat my dad picked up and wore in the Battle of the Bulge 78 years ago this month. Still the warmest damn headgear in my collection of winter gear (and being a Minnesotan the collection if pretty darn big!).

Our two year old has decided to start tormenting the dogs. Be glad when this phase is done.

Good luck. My nephew is 6 and loves having 'cage matches' with their 105 pound english lab. That poor dog takes so much abuse, even though the nephew is the one who usually ends up crying.

If we were told we had to have another kid and our options were a girl or triplet boys, I’m taking the boys. One girl is equal to about 4 boys in drama and work. They are exhausting.

My daughter and her husband hope to drive from Ankeny to Minneapolis after work today. Anyone know how bad it is driving north on I35 right now?

Wait until they are 3-4 years old if you think a two year old is bad.

I don't want to scare you, but life gets exponentially harder also with #2.

Obviously if they are considering it, they aren't listening to any advice.

But why would you do this? At the very best, it is going to be a white-knuckle drive where you are not going the speed limit in the dark and blowing snow. I cannot think of anything much worse.

Apologies if this was already posted. Saw Rex Chapman retweeting for the national audianence.

This actually reminded of a WCCO here in the Twin Cities sending sports guy Mike Max out to cover the civil unrest here in Mpls a couple of years ago. Pretty serious situation, obviously, but the guy (who I never cared for as a sports dude) did an incredible job. So good that I was taken aback by it.

We have 2 boys just a out identical age gap and 2nd is way more chill. Or we are. Now at 18 mths he can full on tackle the older and it's hilarious. Older tattle on little and keeps eye on him/entertains him. Works out pretty well. Rip our grocery bill in 10 yrs though.
