Badger men have a game Friday night, against Grambling State, and my sister has to work it, so she's not coming home until Saturday. I really hope they cancel it. Actually I hope they let her come home Wednesday night.

Not exactly.
But my Dad did tell me last week (before we heard about this storm) that supposedly whatever weather we have during the Winter Solstice is indicative of what our weather is supposed to be like for a couple of months.
Hopefully it’s not again this year.
My Grandma had a couple other weather predictor old saying/stories. One had to do with the first snow and how many weeks of snow we’d have.

Frankie was buffering a lot in this warning. Think something was distracting him.
That is definitely true, but I think the main takeaway is that travel will not be advised Thurs and Friday at the very least with an outside chance that this storm will severely impact travel on Christmas Eve itself.
Either way, the best day to get last minute Christmas shopping done was today. The next two days will be filled with panic buying as people start to realize how impactful this storm will be later in the week.
