Ames has gotten very lucky so far, with barely a trace of snow and nothing coming up in the forecast. (I know I just screwed us)

I am not one to want a lot of snow, but I was hoping for a bunch of snow this winter to replenish the water in one of my ponds. My upper pond is down almost 1' from the drought and would really like it to get back up to normal.

#1 annoyance in talking to friends/family about wether is that they don’t understand how in accurate forecasts are when you’re more than just a few days out.

“Did you see the forecast for your trip next week? They’re calling for a 40% chance of snow!”

That along with people not following up as you get closer. "Oh they said it was supposed to rain today" When was the last time you looked at the forecast "Oh a couple of days ago."

I hear ya here. My dad’s pond is/was WAY down.

Near 50 degrees tomorrow, 45 on Wednesday and 42 on Thursday. I doubt there is much snow left on the ground come Friday's possible storm.

Car wash lines are going to be INSANE
Waiting in line for a car wash is something my brain can't compute.

What are the current models saying about Friday this week for Central Iowa? Got some family coming to town and wondering how/if they’ll be impacted.
