Seattle always delivers during an ice storm
Not bad at all out now. I hope you all have a merry Christmas.
So...any predictions on when 35 might open back up? For those of us desperately trying to get pent up kids to the grandparents for help.
I got up and knocked mine out at 6:30. Now at urgent care, should have followed your lead and just come yesterday. They are slammed this morning.

That sucks. I went to find out what i had given upcoming holiday festivities. Influenza A for me. I get out of jail this afternoon.
After 15 hours and two small heaters, the shower line finally thawed. What a magical sound when all of a sudden there is a steady stream of water.
Did you jump in right away? I bet that water would wake up instantly, like your own polar bear plunge.
Kid needs to make it home so we can get going on vacation. Told him yesterday that I would be rolling around 7:30 to 8. He going to be ready to go soon just a few minutes ago.
Roads for him look decent except a 10 mile stretch right to our town. I know the guy who plows that, apparently his is about the only driver that hasn't gotten rolling yet per the map.

This blows. I'm stuck up in Waterloo. I need to get to Missouri today. They need to hurry up and get 35 south clear.
Any first hand experience or reliable accounts on how 35 northbound is looking this morning? I've got a kid waiting to come home from Ames.
