Maybe Vanover was injured in 2021-22. He shot 45.2% from the field and 32.4 % from 3 in 20/21 in 29 games. He shot 46.9% from the field and 35.5 % from 3 in 19/20 in 28 games. That is better than any of ISU's guards, and he is 7'3". Sounds like a good pick and pop candidate, and ISU needs a big man.

He had a nice shot, and a very nice touch around the rim. Have you ever watched him actually play at Cal or Arkansas?
At this point I assume everyone that isn't going pro is in the transfer portal and we are involved.
When my nephew talked about him, I did a internet dive on him and also watched some games. He does have a nice touch, but he was very slow-footed. I realize that 7'3" guys aren't the nimblest of creatures, but he looked like he was always one step from a turned ankle.
I also saw him get pushed around quite a bit on defense. And when an opposing 5 was able to drag him out to the free throw line, he was a defensive liability. I have a hard time seeing him fit TJ's system.
I'd question the 7'-3". My wife's friend's husband saw him getting off a plane at an airport. He's 5'-8" and said he walked past him and would put him at 7'-1 1/2" tops. With shoes.

Came off the bench this year so only averaged three 3 pointers a game.
88% FT shooter tho.
I know we're looking at some of the same guys that Arky is so this may at least eliminate one team going after a few of them
