***Official 2021 Vikings***

OMFG so now who do the Vikings get? Will Morris or O'Connell be thrilled that they weren't top choice?

I have to think Patrick Graham is the favorite since he was Kwesi's personal choice...and I am not excited about that at all.

I'm hoping it's O'Connell just because of his offensive background and working with McVay.

But man this is so Vikings...

Sounds like the Vikings didn't even make Harbaugh an offer so O'Connell may have been their guy all along unless Harbaugh completely blew them away during his interview...which obviously didn't happen.

I’m enjoying this. After all of you fell in love with that doosh.

How does Michigan let the guy stay when they know he wants to go to the nfl. Would think that will hurt recruiting.

When you force your coach to take a 50% paycut, you generally lose all goodwill especially when he blows it out of the park the next season.

I wanted Harbaugh, but I like the O’Connell hire. He’s got a chance to be a really good coach. And if he schemed up some of those plays to get Kupp open, JJ is going to love this

I was starting to get excited about Jim as well. This guy does nothing for me but I'll just have to wait and see and hope, as usual. Still glad its not Zim.

O'Connell is offensive minded, which is a plus in my mind.
Also, young, offensive assistant coaches under McVay have been really successful lately as head coaches.

Sounds like O'Connell knocked his interview out of the park. Had studied the vikings roster thoroughly and had a lot of ideas about how to improve the team.

He was my first choice before Jim was an option. So I can't complain.
Same. I was hoping for a young, player friendly, offensive coach, mainly as a contrast to Zim.
Harbaugh sort of ticked those boxes, if you squinted at it. And it seemed like a done deal, so I started talking myself into it, but I'm very pleased that McConnell is the guy.

Exactly where I’m at also. It’s all going to come down to who the HC hires for his staff anyway.

I’m not sure how much credit you can give a guy as an OC under McVay. On one hand it’s great to get an OC that’s been able to learn under a successful offensive-minded head coach, but how much was he responsible for vs being along for the ride.
