Vikings are good at whining about injuries on D when you are getting completely dominated by a makeshift Packers OL. And least surprising thing ever, huge cap hit, minimal availability by Hunter.

Huh? Went back a few pages and I didnt see one Viking post whining about injuries on D.
I hope he is the starting QB in 2022. If we are going to properly tank, we need a really bad QB starting to lead us to 3-14 so we can get a Bryce Young or CJ Stroud in the 2023 draft.

They are fine. Just need to get cousins and theilan back and tweak a couple things. Need to get Everett mentally right also. Then everything will be fine.
Mond didn't look great but I was thinking this was another head scratcher by Shaky Zim. "Let's bring in Mond for one series and then go back to Mannion."
I believe this team/organization is well past the "just tweak a couple things" stage.
I'd love this as a die hard vikings fan.
But I think the roster is too talented to tank like that because:
Top 5 WR in the NFL, Theilen is top 20 when healthy. Emergence of KJ Osborn as a good #3.
Dalvin is still a top 5 RB
You get Irv Smith back. Plus Conklin to give you two good TE's.
Have 1 elite tackle. The other tackle is a promising rookie who is the highest graded on PFF for the season
Defense returns Kendricks and Hunter. Rookie Cam Bynum is the highest graded player on the defense by PFF
In order to tank.. We need to really sell the farm
You could just be the Giants and say they're a few small tweaks away after putting up negative-10 passing yards.
It can always be worse.
All 3 of those and they desperately need some DTs.
I think they'll end up cutting Pierce. His production hasn't been nearly $11M cap hit next year worthy.
Barr's dead cap next year is going to hurt at almost $10M.
I don't see them moving Cousins for basically those two reasons. I do see them bringing in someone with offensive pedigree as the head coach to see what they can squeeze out of Cousins/Cook/Thielen/Jefferson one last time.
With the team you have, you have to try a new coach. And a new GM. Zimmer cant get it done. Give someone else a shot. If they cant, then its time to blow it up.

Linebacker is hardly a priority area of need. Stop spending money and picks to try to stop the run when most of the NFL is moving away from running a lot. Just grab a cheap FA or use a later pick to fill the spot. Get the damn line fixed.
