If you only care about draft picks, just run Mannion or Mond out there for free. None of Gardner/Fitz/Brissett are going to win a Super Bowl before Kirk would.
We could retain Kirk and just cut/trade most of the defense's expenses. It isn't gonna get much worse than a ~30th ranked defense with them now.

If you're hoping for a future that doesn't include large amounts of money guaranteed in quarterback contracts, you're going to be disappointed. Kirk's guaranteed money isn't really out of whack with other starting QBs not on their rookie deals.
Yeah but Aaron can win you a Super Bowl even if he doesnt have all the pieces around him. Kirk absolutely cannot.
