***Official 2020-2021 Transfer Thread***

I imagine Lands just wants to be on a winning team. If you are Self, why not use your last scholarship on an veteran guy who is a good locker room presence? Can't hurt when you are completely piecemealing a roster together.

I could do it but someone look up the records of the teams he's played on, it has to be brutal.

I think these moves show just how bad the roster was, they were our two top players but will be role players on good teams. I wish them luck but both moves feel Isaiah Moss-ish.
I'll be shocked if either one of them even matches 50% of their scoring output from last year at Iowa State.

If Agbaji leaves, I bet he starts and averages double figures. He's better than Yesufu.

Depends. Self wants his two guards to be interchangeable if he can have that. I think Self is hoping for Yesufu to be able to play defense well enough to pair him with Martin in the backcourt and that leaves either Braun or JCL at the 3. I would guess he goes with Braun because of his time in the system and he is more versatile. Also don't think JCL is better than Yesufu. JCL does one thing well and that is shoot but he is mostly a catch and shoot guy. Yesufu is great at getting by his man and scoring in the lane was well as hitting 3's. He also is a better facilitator and at generating steals.

so quote says one over the scholarship limit, so who gets the boot?

Wish he would have stayed but glad he didn’t go to the squaks (Hope he never considered them)

I don't think he ever did. If my memory serves me, a couple of years ago he was on a decent DePaul team that came into Carver and ran Iowa out of the gym. So I would be surprised if he even entertained that.
