Imagine if Niang had left after his freshman year, and Morris after his sophomore year. Of course, if Fred had committed to staying here, he probably lands Diallo and who knows who else so he might have kept it rolling anyway.

That does sound like a terrible idea.

Having BDJ and Nader be roommates probably was not a good one, either.

I saw Shayok, Nick Weiler-Babb, and Lard hanging out together at a football game near the beginning of the 2018 season. I know that is one anecdote, but it would not surprise me at all if those two fifth-year character guys were told to keep a damn close eye on Lard when coach was not around, even if it did not really work.

It was a different environment at that point. Guys in the 2018-2019 range received essentially a windfall with the NBA expanding and committing to the D-League as a development league, opening up a lot of professional roster slots with decent and dependable salaries, good professional coaching, and a clear path to the NBA that was not there as much when Monté and Georges were underclassmen. It hit us particularly hard.

...can go 0.500 in the Big 12 and make the NCAA tournament. That roster still has its problems (e.g., still do not like Jacobson at the 4, Nixon is still around though in a much diminished role, Jackson is young, etc.), but it is good 1-2-5 and has at least one of the slots from the missing 3-4 position filled with a match-up problem like THT.

Yeah, we were always that hometown sweetheart that was getting dumped the second Fred caught some eyes in the big city. Oh well, life goes on, things are going to be rough for him in Lincoln (doubting he can ever really turn it around given the various historical disadvantages of that program), and his reputation is ruined after the Bulls.
 
Weird how quiet Walker's recruitment has been. I like him but I wonder if he's still a take, looking at Bolton, Jackson, Harris and Walker, that's a tiny backcourt for the next few years. Depending on waivers, you'd have 3 undersized guards in the same class.

Weights/heights (according to Sports Reference or 247 Sports) --

A.J. Walker = 6'2" 191
Tyler Harris = 5'9" 150
Tre Jackson = 6'1" 176
Jaden Walker = 6'5" 170
Rasir Bolton = 6'3" 183

The only super tiny one above is Tyler Harris. You are right that Jackson and Bolton are not the biggest guys around, but they are at least 6'+ in the data.

Jaden Walker, Dubar, and Blackwell are all 6'5" with progressive stouter builds and longer and longer wingspans. You can almost imagine them as more 3-4 types and Jaden Walker as a point forward in the Nick Weiler-Babb sense, I hope.

I posted weights to point out that A.J. Walker is 191. Even if he is not very tall, hopefully he is stout and strong to be able to play physical to make up for the height.

A guy at 191 would be #5 on the team for weight as of now...

242 = Young
223 = Conditt
225 = Foster
195 = Johnson
191 = A.J. Walker

I think Weiler-Babb and Lard were probably friends. I saw the two of them together at a softball game or two. Nick Weiler-Babb was almost always at the home softball games to watch his girlfriend play.

Thanks, I had actually seen and saved that but OneNote fails me quite a bit and loses my data. I save in OneNote on my phone and then post from OneNote on my PC but sometimes OneNote loses the data.

On that note, if anyone knows a better "OneNote" for Windows/Android that is more reliable, I'm open to suggestions.
 
So we have 3 open scholarships, and we have 3 players we are recruiting. Two being sit out transfers. We are in trouble.
