***Official 2018 Transfer Thread***

Said it before but I am an Arkansas fan and I didn't think much of him when he was at Arkansas. I am no expert but he actually reminded me of Jakolby Long.

Is it fair to say he's a long athlete who plays on the wing but his basketball skills are a bit of a work in progress? Think I'd rather see us target more of a lead guard type. I won't pigeon hole everyone in the same position but we will have a lot of guys similar to that with Lewis, THT, and Zion Griffin.

IMO the staff would be more likely to bank the scholarship then to go this route.

Right. He is a guy that if he was a high school senior I could see us going after and maybe a project type guy. However, we would be starting with a junior in college and he has shown little to no progress. I think the goal for this scholarship would be to upgrade talent this year. Not like last year I would have said take him since we needed guys.

We would be starting with a sophomore in college unless I’m missing something because everywhere says he was a freshman this year. Also I’m just wondering why do you compare him to Jakolby Long? Looking at the numbers, which I know don’t always tell the story, I don’t really understand. 5.1 ppg and 3.1 rpg with 50% from the field and 40% from three as a freshman on a tourney team for Hall. 1.9 ppg and 1.3 rpg with 35% from the field and 43% from three as a sophomore on a team that struggled and lacked depth for Long.

Really? I gave my opinion on a player that I have watched a lot. If you think he is a great player then you can give your opinion on him. I guess you are an NBA talent scout.

I'm with you...I don't know where the Jakolby comparisons would be coming from. They're nothing alike.

It's possible the staff might see a higher ceiling potential in Hall than Jakolby. Whatever deficiencies exist in his game right now, might be worth overlooking for the higher potential they see. Purely speculation...I know...but it makes sense, I think.
