MLB: ***Official 2018 Chicago Cubs Season Thread***

His heels are pretty much on the chalk. He should be able to hit almost any strike to the opposite field, yet he tries to pull everything. Oh, and he’s almost always late on fastballs, which would also lend itself to the opposite field, but no, he refuses. He is an enigma. He gets the barrel on it often but it is usually bad contact.

He's not exactly possessed of great power. Seems like going the other way would be a good approach for him.

Or just dribble one to 2nd.

With his speed and starting from the lefty box he could hit a ton of doubles. Mark Grace wasn’t overly powerful, but man did all the doubles he hit really propel an offense.

2 plus years into the contract, it’s time to sit Heyward until he performs. That or just buy the contract out.

I’ve given that guy more opportunities than most but he just flat out sucks.

Javy is just so damn electric. If he could get some patience at the plate he would be a near MVP candidate. I still love him though

Because of all the young players they have, and all the hype around Bryant it’s easy to overlook him. He could end up being an all-time great.

- Heyward didn't start so far away from the plate until this year. It's a Chili Davis thing in an attempt to stop the ground outs to the right side.

- Weird how this lineup has scored 8 runs with no Schwarber or Happ and only 1 homerun
