He was trying to get a catchers interference call. He took a really late and choppy swing in an attempt to hit the catchers mit. He has done that successfully at least 3 time this year. I think he assumed he made contact? Not sure.

Yeah I know he situation he was trying to sell, but run dude.

Q pitching tonight like the guy the Cubs thought he would be when they traded for him.

I'm not going to complain about the schedule. If you are going to go deep in the playoffs you have to be playing your best baseball going into the postseason and you have to be able to win series against quality teams. If the Cubs want to compete for the World Series you have to be able to take 2 of 3 games from the Brewers, D'Backs, and Cards and you should be flirting with sweeps against bad teams like the White Sox, Reds, and Pirates.

I really hope they can get Morrow and Heyward healthy. Morrow especially makes that bullpen a lot better when you can play match ups to get the ball to him or Strop in the 9th. Hopefully Edwards gets it figured out soon, he's been really inconsistently lately.

Wilson is also pitching much more like the guy they thought they were getting last year at the deadline. Since Aug 1st he has only given up 2 runs in now 18 appearances including tonight

The Cubs offense drives me crazy. Once again we are seeing a stretch of basically zero offense even though they're facing Brewers starting pitchers who aren't very good. It's looking like another 0 or 1 run night for the Cubs. Ugh.

Would really prefer to see Murphy moved down in the order. Maybe KB can lead off since he just hits singles now.
