The claim that the whole program was built on JUCO's is absurd, that was my point in posting a few names of real stars at K-State. JUCO transfers are not the same. Naturally, JUCO's finish at four-year schools. What's happening today in MBB is four-year to four-year, and it's problematic on multiple levels. Worthy of discussion

Soooo and a lot of post graduate degrees are attained from a different university than the under grad degrees. What is the difference with the grad transfers to the JUCO transfer?

You guys, I'm trying to abstain from this thread, it's Good Friday after all and I'm Catholic.

That said, the primary difference between JUCO, as if you didn't know, and grad transfers is that JUCOs can't finish their 4-year degree in a community college, so they must transfer to a 4-year school. While grad transfers have taken everything from their school of origin and including their best year of eligibility. I just find that troubling.

But now we have all these youngsters moving from school-to-school in the transfer portal - freshman, sophomores, and juniors - which is fine as long as they sit a year.

As for Austin Trice, great athlete, but not a B12 caliber dude.

Let me help you out with some mandatory piety, then.

We've had success with both and know both very well. Quit trying to act like you are smarter than us.

Hate to point out your errors in thinking but I will. A juco transfer must transfer, period, we agree on that. A 4 year graduate also must transfer to another college, it can be in the same University or a different one but it is a different college. The thought is that it is better for the student to transfer to another University he gets a better education as he is exposed to different teachers etc. The only reason one might be opposed to it as that one cares only about yourself as a fan and not the student. That would be selfish and disgusting.

Not really concerned that ISU isn't being connected with a wide number of players in the spring transfer market, especially grad transfers.

IMO grad transfers are looking for immediate playing time and I suspect the ISU coaches are very confident we have four very capable starters next year in Halliburton, Nixon, Young and Jacobson. I would bet Prohm is also confident Conditt will start or is a capable top bench player. IMO the coaches are only going to take a grad transfer if he is a sharp shooting bid guard. So they will be very selective.

IMO we will cast a broader net for sit out transfers/JUCO's, but again we can afford to be selective as the staff has the summer/fall recruiting cycle to fill what could be a 2 man or 5 man recruiting class.
