Have we been connected with any of those outside of Gilder?

Been linked to Caleb Daniels. Couldn’t find much info on Clarke or Cumberland. Bailey, Anthony and Bolton are all recent additions to transfer portal

Depending on how Wheeler and Grill recruitment work out, I would expect other Transfer options being known shortly. The staff still wants to keep the option open for THT and LW to return thus haven't been extremely aggressive in the spring period. With the NBA combine invites being sent it could help give some more clarity. Plus like you've said there are still new talented names coming on to the market that could snag the staff's eye.

I know that this is a common thought, but does anyone really think there is a chance either is coming back? THT has been pumped up as a first rounder since November, and I just don't see LW coming back either.

I don't think they are coming back personally but it only matters what the staff thinks. Bain (not the most reliable source granted) reported last week his source said the staff wanted to keep the option open that either THT or LW could return if they wanted. If Prohm thinks there is even a slight chance and doen't want to fill the spots in case it would explain the current short list of targets.

I am curious as to why we haven't heard if Wigginton and THT were invited to the combine yet. A ton of other names have already come out. THT will be invited for sure. Wiggs is more of a question mark.

My prediction. We get Johnson. Then we get someone else we didn't even know existed. Then we bank the scholarship.

I could see the staff pull another Talley out of nowhere this summer. I dont know if most people even knew he was a grad transfer until he committed to ISU

I figure they are holding one for either of them.

I think THT is gone -- <1% chance he comes back.

Wigginton... I could see happening. Holding one for him, else banking it for next year or a mid-season, sounds like a pretty sensible plan.

I think that is the thought.
The roster would look better entering the year with a proven older player to make up for the the lost production of THT and LW thus a grad transfer is ideal. Prohm already has 3 high school commits adding 1 more makes sense adding 2 seems like a lot for a class. I am in favor of adding the best talent and figuring it out thus getting Grill and Wheeler would make sense. If they miss out on one banking the scholly is always an option, and the mid-year transfer market isn't quite as competitive. Added benefit if Lindell or THT did decide to return they could and obviously would impact the roster the most.

Guessing TJ didn't want him. I mean it would be pretty easy for TJ to sell him on the school he is already at. Sounds like the kid stayed and waited for the coach. Guessing TJ told him to move on. Not sure I want a kid TJ told to move on.
