***Official 2017 Transfer Thread***

Seriously the gymnastics of ISU fans. Unmatched.

Then: "OMG just need big guys go in and get fouls and push people that's what we need!"

Now: "This huge guy with good athleticism he's going to suck we don't want him, waste of scholarship"
Your flipping on positions never ends. Are you back to missing on Young?

Looking back on this thread looking for some of the under the radar guys...

Kassius Robertson??? 16.1 PPG (for a low major), shoots it great from 3(41%), replacement if we dont get Edwards... had 16 against Kentucky

Kendall Smith???
Marcus Jackson???

Just thinking out loud...

I don't know much about these guys but I love the fact that he's Kassius from Canisius. -ius is a suffix you don't get very often in English. Kind of obscure, I realize.

Link to report?

From Merriam-Webster's:

Definition of report
  1. 1a : common talk or an account spread by common talk : rumor
I'm not going to weed through a month's worth of posts to try and find the actual post so you'll just have to take my report (as defined by definition above) of said report (again as defined by definition above).

It most assuredly was not theory.

Thought so. By that standard it's also been reported that a Presidential candidate was human trafficking at a pizza shop.

Sure, if you say so.

You confuse me...you asked what reports had been positive about Kasongo...I said there were some reports last month (which is probably what the poster you quoted was referring to when he said "mixed reviews")...and then you nitpick the answer I was trying to provide you.

No, there were not reports, there were posters inferring. Look at my post rate, you don't thinks I'd participate in that thread?

You have your definition of reports and I have mine...I'll stick with mine.

You just joined CF last month. The reports may have been before you joined...and they weren't in their own thread, they were buried in another thread.

I was just trying to help you understand why CY88 may have said what he said...but I'm done now...so congrats, dude, you win the internet.

I've heard from someone who is close to a player that Kasongo looks really good in individual workouts but sorta disappears in 5-on-5 action.

I hesitate to post this as it just a post on the OU message board in their Egor Koulechov visit thread but links an ISU interest and could be another option. Made me do a double take anyway.

"Egor told our coaches Florida, ISU and Villanova were his other serious choices besides OU. It seems the visit was very good so hopefully it is just Florida and OU and we win the battle."
"Yes, thank you for the insight. Watch out for Iowa State, as they seem to make a living off these type of transfers."
"Yes and the fact that they have tons of playing time to offer."

Take it with a grain of salt... still intriguing.

I think Egor could be the best fit for what we need next year among grad transfers. Mostly because I wonder how adding another guard who likes to have the ball in their hands (Brown) would work along side Wigginton. Not that I wouldn't take a 20 ppg scorer like Brown, I just wonder if it's not the best fit available. That would be some lethal 3 point shooting on the perimeter with Wigginton distributing to Egor, D Jack, and maybe Edwards. Also, the 9 rebounds a game Egor had last year is very impressive.
