Interest in Alstork makes me think that Edwards is a back up plan but this weekend is when we could get him to come in. I think Shayok looks like he's a shoe in for a sit out player that we were looking for, so the other guard position would have to be an immediate player that can provide some scoring chops. Wondering what else we are in for posts as I'm sure we aren't just putting our eggs in the Juiston basket.
I actually think Edwards is the priority since the staff has been evaluating him for a while and is his first visit during the open period. The staff just contacted Alstork and haven't set a visit.
I agree. Alstork has only been contacted while Edwards is visiting. You absolutely take Edwards if he is ready to commit and your evaluation is positive when he is on campus.
I wouldn't say that's conclusive. It's pretty tough to recruit guys until they become available, so of course we're further along with Edwards.

How Edwards does in the scrimmage against the guys we have on campus now will probably determine if ISU takes him. The coaches like him, but he's gotta prove it once he's on campus. Same reason we passed on guys like Justin Edwards who ended up at KSU.
Remember reading that's why they passed on Leland King as well. Brown transfer who ended up at Nevada.
Wasn't there someone we supposedly passed on that ended up having a decent year at their chosen school?
