I'm a bit behind in this thread ... Ohio State also granted release of Fr. PG Braxton Beverly, around same time. Appears neither loss is high-impact, but OSU has only 8 scholarship players (and still 7 slots to fill for 2018-19).
Not that I'm shedding tears for poor lil' ol' Ohio State. But those are some gaping holes for a program of that stature.

Intriguing. Getting a guard with B12 experience who produced at a lower level this late in the transfer season would seem like a perfect fit. After all the staff was looking for one more guard to rotate in after being linked to a number similar type players in the spring.
Prohm sounded very open to filling on or even both the open spots this summer during CW interview earlier this week. Also one most schools rosters are pretty set so late transfers like these have limited options.
Looks like his team was 6-27 last year. The most talented basketball team they probably played was UNLV and randy put up 19 points. Looks like he also entered his name in the draft to see what he needed to improve on.

Probably so, but when you're 6-27 with a guy who averages 23 ppg, you deserve to be poached.

Don't think I've ever seen a program allow a kid to redshirt to he can grad transfer the next year. Might be someone to keep an eye on for 2018.

Neat arena. I love Hilton's appearance, particularly the imposing and grand exterior. But, the mezzanine at Hilton, really removes the upper level a fair piece from the floor. The LSU arena above has no interposing area, just zooms upward from floor to rafters.
Why not just transfer now and get a head start at the next school during the red shirt year?
Exactly. Very unique situation where LSU is essentially burning the scholarship on a practice player for the year knowing they're going to leave in May. Wonder how it works with him being contracted/recruited by other programs while still on LSU scholarship.
His stats look decent to me as a slasher wing. If Prohm wants him then I want him. Trust in CSP.
