***Official 2016 Transfer Thread***

@GoodmanESPN: Romello White's mother told ESPN that her son remains committed to Georgia Tech and new coach Josh Pastner.

@JonRothstein: Louisiana Tech transfer Merrill Holden told @CBSSports his new list is Iowa St , Illinois, Cincinnati, Jacksonville St, WVU, and UCF.

I am surprised we haven't heard any ISU transfers to this point. Based on the CF rumblings over the past month, I would have expected some news of 1 or 2 leaving.

Well you can imagine that everything is tight lipped since Naz is grad transferring, Matt Thomas is following TJ to SDSU, and Monte is reevaluating his decision to go pro.

Is ISU even in the transfer market anymore?

I doubt Prohm will put as much emphasis on transfers as Hoiberg did. Hoibergs recruiting strategies made it almost mandatory that grad transfers were a part of the plan. I think Prohm will obviously focus on key transfers but I would expect more JUCO and multi year transfers than grad transfers. Prohm appears to have a good balance of HS and JUCO's coming which will hopefully stop the need to depend on grad transfers to fill holes. Don't get me wrong I love impactful grad transfers but I would rather have consistency among the classes as long as the talent is still there.

I thought it was more regular transfers than grad transfers. Anderson, Kane and bdj were the only grad transfers compared to the 10 (not sure the actual number) regular transfers.

Well, we already got one and have our name mentioned with four or five others, so the answer is obviously no, we will not be looking for transfers ever again.

I meant are they still in the transfer market for next season based on the scholarship count being what it is and no news of current players leaving, but thanks for the unnecessary snarkiness

No problem. It seems like they are still actively looking, but it would be nice to know who exactly we are officially losing.

My guess, who ever is transferring out will wait till after the school year to make an announcement. The players Iowa St is expected to lose will be transferring down a level, so it's not as important to get your name out there.

Matt A hits on the Transfer market again.

@adamzagoria Arkansas State transfer Anthony Livingston is expected to sign with St. John's, source tells @SNYtv. Would be eligible immediately.

He definitely knows how to recruit transfers. He has to have signed the most transfers of any assistant coach in the country over the last several years (comment made without any actual research.)

Thank goodness he's not going to wvu or Texas
