You guys are so short sighted. Got to see the big picture.
Naz is going to graduate and announce his transfer. Then he'll travel around to all these schools gathering intel. Once he learns everyone's secret plays, he'll tweet out "You got Punk'd!!!"

Ohio State transfer Daniel Giddens is considering Kentucky, Florida, FSU, Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi State, source told @CBSSports.
I think the only one we've publicly been linked to is the Livingston kid from Arkansas State. He would be a huge get, IMO.
His AAU buddies play on a couple of those teams. That's how the contact was made.
Back when this was going on Georges, Abdul, Jameel & it was speculated Monté were all going to be gone. I'm not sure why people find it so hard to think Naz was considering Grad transferring.
I heard a different Naz story from a friend of a donor. That one goes that Naz sat out because he thought his best chance at the NBA was to run the point next year after Monte went to the NBA.
Not denying it might have been said, but that seems awfully far-fectched. Especially since Naz has commented on wanting Monte to return. Naz seems like a straight shooter to me. I think the suddenness of Naz shutting it down after beginning the season caused multiple 'theories' to be thrown around like hotcakes.
Derp. Goodman didn't even say he was thinking of transferring. He pointed out that it was an option for Long if he wanted to. Show me anywhere that he was considering transferring.... I'll be waiting a long time bc he never was

unless Goodman has other tweets im missing where he hints at Naz transferring, this is all I could find of him mentioning it.
Maybe he just thought because it is ISU that Naz wouldn't get a medical RS anyway? That's the only explanation I can come up with.
Or he didn't realize Naz was seeking a medical redshirt and assume he's graduating and gone.
Just because other schools were showing interest, doesn't mean he was actively trying to transfer. When a player the caliber of Naz has a chance to be an immediately eligible player, schools have to get in early, if they want a leg up.
